Decksmith is a free tool for testing cEDH opening hands. These terms are short
because the deal is simple: use it honestly, don't abuse it, and understand that simulation
numbers are analysis, not promises.
DRAFT — written 2026-07-02, pending human review before public launch.
The service
Decksmith deals and classifies opening hands for Commander decks, entirely in your browser.
It's provided free, as-is, and may change or gain paid tiers in the future; anything already
free will be clearly marked if that ever changes.
Accounts
You need an account only to save things (decks, goals, runs, trainer labels). You're
responsible for your credentials; we can terminate accounts that abuse the service.
You can export or delete everything yourself at any time — see the
privacy page.
You must be at least 13 to create an account.
Acceptable use
Don't attack, overload, or attempt to breach the service or other users' data.
Don't scrape or bulk-harvest the service; the card compendium is maintained by hand
and is the product of ongoing expert work.
Automated access to the public pages at reasonable rates (e.g. link previews) is fine.
The numbers
Decksmith's verdicts are model outputs with documented
assumptions and honest gaps — unknown cards are played as blanks, opponents aren't
modeled, and goal-reachability is not the same thing as winning. Use the numbers as a tuning
instrument, not gospel. We're not responsible for tournament results, card purchases, or any
decision made on the strength of a simulation.
Intellectual property
Decksmith's engine, compendium, and site content are ours. Your decklists and labels
are yours; by saving them you grant us only the storage needed to give them back to you.
Card images and data are provided by Scryfall;
Scryfall is unaffiliated with Decksmith.
Warranty & liability
The service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent
permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the
amount you paid us for it — which, today, is zero.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be noted here with a date. Continuing to
use the service after a change means you accept it.
